#EURESFO24 Study Visits

The 2024 edition of EURESFO will have two Study Visit options to choose from organised by the City of Valencia on the last day of the Forum Friday 28 June. More information about the Visits will be shared closer to the event.

The Green River

The Green River Visit encompasses the Turia Gardens, an extensive urban park of 120 hectares in Valencia that stands out as a climatic oasis traversing the entire city from west to east. Its diverse vegetation and ecological functions, such as renaturalisation and water filtration, make it a notable example of green infrastructure. Besides serving as a meeting and cultural space, its design promotes sustainable mobility through pedestrian pathways and bike lanes, thus contributing to reducing pollutant emissions and serving as a model in this field.

The Orchard, the Sea, and L’Albufera, the City’s pantries

This Visit covers the Albufera Natural Park, where we can find Valencia's three main sources of natural food: rice fields, Mediterranean seafood, and locally grown fruits and vegetables. This diversity guarantees a rich and healthy culinary experience, available in numerous restaurants across the city. Accessible by public transport or bicycle, the route combines various spaces, transitioning from rice fields to beaches with the prestigious European Blue Flag, culminating at the Marina de Valencia, a vast public space facing the Mediterranean, offering a tranquil alternative to busier areas of the city.
